Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad
A Look At Years Gone By
Some 30 years ago today, you both had said I do
You really didn't realize then, what you'd be going through.
The challenges you had to meet, together, side by side,
Are only part of yesterday, memories of years gone by.
Through the Years
The 40's started something, hard work but lots of love,
And pretty soon two daughters, with the blessings from above.
The 50's were exciting, in your brand new Clifton home
And then a red and white oldsmobile, to call your very own.
The 60's were a span in life, memories by the dozen
Just having two growing girls around, was enough to keep you buzzing.
Remember all the parties and contests by the score
You would always get upset and say there'd be no more!
And on our graduation days, all the tears you both had shed
It wasn't to long after that, your little girls were wed.
Summers were exciting then and you started something new,
Hawaii, Europe and Scandinavia, were explored by both of you.
Tracy, Jason and Timmy brought much happiness and cheer,
You should feel quite lucky with a new grandchild every year.
And now the 70's are here, lets hope they start off right
A new grandchild will be born, who knows maybe tonight.
The moving of the print shop, is a big step but it is near
It certainly is a wonderful way, to start off the new year.
If we could only look ahead to what the future will bring.
To you mom and dad all our love and the best of everything.
So if you're ever feeling sad and just about to cry,
Take a look at this small poem, a look at years gone by.
