An Endless Sky

An Endless Sky

By Tony DeLorger © 2013

An endless sky, like nurturing arms,

holds life within its cradle of existence,

containment like a nursery of possibility,

of hearts filled with hope.

Yet within this natural mystery,

lies a disruption of process,

a mark in the fabric of timeless evolution,

a flaw in the natural balance.

Under an endless sky breeds an arrogance,

a self-fulfilling prophecy of doom,

all based on belief and intellects ready to accept blind justification,

as a sacrifice to a balance abundantly given.

How blessed we are within this perfection,

each miracle like a diamond in the sun,

each breath an opportunity of discovery,

each experience a pathway to love.

Yet, what we choose in our humanity,

is to seek limitations and containment,

judgement and contention,

rather than abide by what the heart pleads.

What end do we beckon in our ignorance,

what possible happiness can there be in selfish pursuit,

the gratification of self, and the oppression of the weak,

what life can we decimate for the glorification of a lie.

Humanity is a seed to be nurtured, not driven.
