An Ode to Gratitude

Updated on October 27, 2010

What is yours

that you can boast

for life you made not

its miracle lost

your mother may take credit

women know if wise

that the life to their life

came not from their thighs

Effort too is not of the man

for life plays tricks

weakness a curseĀ

that strikes with no thought

That which is gained

is lost in flash

That which was thought

immortal will crumble away

maybe slower then you

but the world works that way

what then have we to say

for that which we do

T'would do us good

to throw above His due.

A simple thank you.

lol perhaps the call wouldn't be long distance if you were local to the recipient.

I thank "God" each day for the miracle of life. But the distance between us is far too much for a long distance call that is always busy :)
