Analects to a Guardian Angel

Updated on February 7, 2015

Analects to a Guardian Angel

Days was chased by the night

My dreams had cradled in the dark

But for real and frail all at once

Guardian Angel be on my side

Too long hours before the day

Covered with silhouettes of black and gray

Creeping sounds stretching so high and low

The fear of nightmare, dashes through

You were there when I was lost

Watching over my steps, too small

When the time I see things, so big and tall

That was when, I was a little boy

Now, that I was young and getting old

Your presence, is it really lost?

Honor to my guardian Angel, so brave and strong

Missing all day, this moment I was alone.

The moment of truth has always come

Days and nights were but yesterdays

I can only give this humble gift

A thanksgiving that never fade

Another beautiful poem from you. Do we lose that childhood feeling of being looked after? Maybe.....

You have a wonderful way with words.
