Analyzing Scholarly Writing
Evaluate the quality of evidence
The Oyster feuds: Conflicting discourse and outcomes point of view used a great deal of evidence to generate a strong argument. With the use of diagrams only strengthen the authors point of view (Haley Lesile-Bole, 2017). Leslie bole and Perramond used appropriateness for the target audience which I believe is for researches that either agree or disagree with their study. It shows information for professional they are familiar with conducting experiments through words. The article meets the standards of a scholarly article through the evidence it provides, it does not show any forms of bias, and it creates a very strong argument (What is scholarly writing?, 2018). This article does possess concise, precise, and clear language (What is scholarly writing?, 2018).
How various audiences might perceive the author’s intent and message
In this article the writer seems to consider the intended audience it is writing to. The introduction grasps the reader into the mind of the person who is frustrated with the way the environment is being treated. This article then goes into the political ecology and discourse to argue nature and environment (Haley Lesile-Bole, 2017). The writer does use objective information, because it never states the opinion of themselves only the thought of the people and information obtained. It gives both views on the issues at hand, by discussing the conflict.
How you might revise the article to make it more appropriate for an international audience
To revise this article, shortening the information can allow for readers to read it from beginning to end. Eliminating information about the past would be limited to the introduction of the topic. With most of the data the writer goes back in history multiple times.
Conclusion
Over all the article has a very high quality in the information that is given (What is scholarly writing?, 2018). The reader of this article would perceive this paper has research purposes. Shortening the information and limiting the history of the issues would be placed in the introduction. Oyster feuds article is very informative and gives excellent studies and research methods.
