Another Memory (poem)

Updated on June 21, 2015

Another memory is swept away

Another thought of just another day

Another thing I sense which couldn’t stay

Another tear which time cannot delay

Alone I drift and wander through my past

Alone to wonder why it didn’t last

Alone within the shadows that are cast

Alone to feel it happened all too fast

And all those dreams we made and stowed away

In hearts of lovers which have bloomed at last

A tribute to the magic that we cast

And kisses which this time could not delay

Their heartbeats are a whisper of our past

When eyes meet sparkles of another day

In love with you alas I’ll always stay

A promise that their dreams will hold so fast

But night has come and caused a small delay

Alone to drift in tears I shall not stay

And with your kiss the promise of the day

Another memory is swept away

      Memories seem to be lost,

Tears alone seem to be going,

The kisses and heartbeats are just whispers,

      All they cast is magic.

I voted it up++, shared and pinned it.

Another interesting poem, although I think that the memory has only gone into hiding and may pop out at any moment!
