In the Calm of the Dusk Soul Is Humming in Chorus Its Lullaby with Every Sleepy Head of Those Flowers

Rare is a soul whose pride may allow

admitting those silent times of despair,

so eager to share but not knowing how

and even less knowing if anyone would care.

Life may be cruel to that child inside

when mask is not enough to hide the pain

with even dreams shying away from smooth ride,

soul crying for help but all in vain.

Sometimes impossible for the words to define

while each attempt just makes it less clear,

too good a swimmer to be drowned in wine,

too truthful to be faked with laughter and cheer.

Feeling like whole life is nothing but a lie

or a joke asking for a laughter to tears

but struggling soul can afford just a deep sigh

surrendering to pain being worst of all fears.

And then a gentle voice comes from high above

a voice like enchanting mother's lullaby

now saying something of patience, gratitude, and love

uplifting the soul to a never felt high.

It was inner child who made up the voice

answering to its own cry for relief,

reminded of its always available choice

to blow away despair, misery, and grief.
