New Blessings from the angels

It’s time for a new angel-inspired collection from my 2nd poetry book for this new year. Thank you for being good Hubber friends and loving my poems. It warms my heart and makes me feel good. Enjoy this collection and stay tuned for a new one this spring.

Power Jury and Intergalactic Albums

Power Jury

Long time ago, God created ethereal beings on earth,
At that time, men will see the son of Man coming in clouds,
They might appear childlike, or as an adult,
With help from our Lord, they became equipped with great power and glory.

Celebrating peace, life, goodness, freedom, and innocence,
And He’ll send His angels and gather his elect,
When Judgment Day comes on your arrival,
They came from the four winds, from the ends of the earth.

They would weigh the scale of justice of your deeds and crimes,
From the universe, they would vote on your fate,
As they came to the end of the Heavens and beyond,
And they opens the doors to the pearly city, and closed the one to Hell.

Angel thought: “At that time men will see the son of Man
coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will
send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds,
from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.”- Mark 13:26, 27.

Intergalactic Albums

Our lives are albums written through the sky,
May it be written into a clear night with stars,
With good or ill, with false or true, our time goes by,
Time heals all wounds, and fades the scars.

And as the blessed angels turn to all,
They, too, control the hands of Fate,
And watches us on clouds, catches us in a fall,
As they determine if Heaven can wait.

They flip through the intergalactic albums in miles,
Reads the pages of all of our years,
God grant they read the good with their holy smiles,
And blot the ill or suffering with tears!

Angel quote #17: “Our lives are albums written through
With good or ill, with false or true;
And as the blessed angels turn the pages of our years,
God grant they read the good with smiles,
And blot the ill with tears!—“John Greenleaf Whittier.”

Divine Intervention and Holy Glow

Divine Intervention

Suffering from insomnia and a recurring dream,
The very same thing happened to me in the first few weeks,
Just embarking on a new journey and a new life,
God noticed my ailment by giving me a divine intervention.

But them, one day, my guardian angel appeared to me,
Not in night, but in a daydream and whispered these words of advice:
“Don’t take yourself so seriously”, the angel said in a soft spoken voice,
And ever since, I’ve been able to sleep . . . like an angel.

Angel thought: “The very same thing happened to me in the first few weeks of my pontificate, but then one day my guardian angel appeared to me in a daydream and whispered, Giovanni, don’t take yourself so seriously. And ever since then I’ve been able to sleep.”-Pope John XXII (to a new bishop suffering from insomnia.)

Holy Glow

Their essence is their halo’s bright holy glow,
Just like an ebb tide, it comes and goes with a flow,
How like an angel came I down!
Oh, how their glory did me crown!

A guardian to watch over me, with a fallen feather,
Reminds me, that there’s no problem they can weather,
When first among His works I did appear,
And how bright are all things here!

Angel quote #27: “How like an angel came I down!
How Bright are all things here!
When first among his works I did appear,
Oh, how their glory did me crown!”—Thomas Traherne

Cosmic Smarts and Earthly Visit

Cosmic Smarts

Angels aren’t merely forms of extraterrestrial intelligence,
When it may be outer space and out of this world,
When space and the Black Hole meets Heaven and Earth,
To gain knowledge from stars and from God himself.

They’re forms of extra-cosmic intelligence,
Something special, and not like an alien,
Words of wisdom are based from planetary knowledge,
As meteors and others give angels their cosmic smarts.

Angel thought:”{Angels} are not merely forms of
extraterrestrial intelligence. They are forms of
extra-cosmic intelligence.”—Mortimer Adler

Earthly Visit

When God sends His angels for an earthly visit,
Their power of invisibility reverses itself,
When home is ruled, according to God’s word,
Angels might be asked to stay with us.

They’ll be observing what’s been going on in our lives,
Family, work, friends, community involvement and church,
These are the five key things they all really look for,
And they wouldn’t find themselves out of their element.

Angel quote #4: “When home is ruled according to
God’s Word, angels might be asked to stay with us,
and they would not find themselves out of their
element.”—Charles Haddon Spurgeon

If you need to talk to angels, consider getting a prayer book like this

Cloud Nine and Heavenly Things

Cloud Nine

Look no further, when you’re on the path of love,
Let love sneak up on you, when you at least expect it,
God will play His hand, by laying the cards on the table,
The Muses of Faith will direct you to the crossroads of love.

If you find someone who’s everything you’ve dreamed of,
And the aura is so pure and innocent, with a heavenly persona,
He might be the one, who takes you places you never been before,
Marry an angel, and you’ll forever and always be on cloud nine.

Angel thought: “Marry an angel and you’ll be on Cloud 9.”—Phyllis D’Aprille Alston

Heavenly Things

It’s so sweet to feel we’re encircled here,
Surrounded by planets, moon, stars in the galaxy,
By breath of angels as the stars by Heaven,
To wish upon for wishes and dreams to come true.

And the soul’s own relations, all divine,
Spirits rise from the earth to the universe,
As kind as even those of blood, serenity springs,
Pure as virtues, cleansing our soul from sin.

And thus, while friends and kin, like Saturn’s double rings,
Orbit the earth, year long, on its own axis,
Cheer us along our orbit, as we travel between the plains,
From earth to Heaven and to the great heavenly beyond.

We may feel we’re not alone in our own life,
Fluttered wings from angels, feathers and doves,
But that earth’s part of heaven and all things,
God watches us from his gem-decked throne.

Angel quote #55: “It is sweet to feel we are encircled here,
By breath of angels as the stars by Heaven;
And the soul’s own relations, all divine,
As kind as even those of blood; and thus,
While friends and kin, like Saturn’s double rings,
Cheer us along our orbit we may feel
We are not lone in life, but that earth’s part
Of heaven and all things.”—P.J. Bailey

Eternal Music and Invisible Hands

Eternal Music

If we sing like an angel with a beautiful voice,
May it be solo, or in a choir or chorus,
With a mixed arrangement of alto, tenor, brass and soprano notes,
It’ll be secular, spiritual, and inspirational in nature.

And the world will sing with all of us together,
For Heaven’s eternal music can be heard everywhere,
Loud and soft, and deep enough for God to hear in Heaven,
Sound waves can bring down the barriers of hate and war.

Angel thought: “Sing like an angel and the world
will sing with you.”—Elizabeth Deane

Invisible Hands

When in need, and look up to God for answers,
Watch for a sign from a sky, as a feather,
If we spot one, that means it’ll be granted,
With their heavenly orchestrated music played on cue.

So in a heavenly voice from a holy choir,
Invisible touch from their invisible hands on your shoulders,
So in a shapeless flame of angelic spiritual light,
Stars shine with a moon-beaming warmth.

Answered prayers with wishes and dreams come true,
Angels affect us often, and worshipped be,
In church with our prayers to our God,
Guardians watch us all with their invisibility.

Angel thought: “So in a voice, so in a shapeless flame
Angels affect us oft, and worshipped be.”—John Donne
