Any Final Thoughts (poem)

Updated on June 25, 2015

My world is so much different today

One problem I thought slit from my life now

Comes back to take its last sarcastic bow

The courage I had then has skulked away

-

It seemed inconsequential in its time

That simple ending did not pulse from fun

It oozed in hatred long before begun

Where now that soul left feeling so sublime

-

Amidst the tentacles of fear I’m held

With terror shouting horrors through my head

Still echoes there the last words that she said

That from God’s world I too will be expelled

-

To thee oh Lord my final prayer I send

For through these doors I go to meet my…

Wow, Mh, this is certainly a dramatic piece here. I am glad whonu felt your message. I have read it about three times and I am not sure of the message except that it ends in death ....

As to your title, "Any Finals Thoughts" ...I can only state that life has a way of putting things into perspective, for example., today I spent half the day until 6:00 p.m. at the Cancer Center and then had to have a CT Scan to check for blood clots in my lungs again ... so, as far as the "she" there in your poem ...not really understanding, I just say I am not sure anyone can tell another person such for God is truly the only One who knows one's heart. Plus, after being healed of breast cancer, I am not too concerned about what he/she said or what he/she did not say in this life, as I am concerned with what makes a difference in the eternal realm. Hmm, well, maybe that does relate back to your poem : )

That video is off the charts dark yet beautiful (This reminds me of something Atanacio would love.)

      Up +++ and away

God bless you and I hope this is not something happening in your life ( I will read it a couple more times until I understand it a bit more.)

      Hugs

...end. Very dark and thought-provoking poem, Martin. It seems death is welcomed by the person (in the story) who holds tormenting thoughts.

Definitely something to think about. Who knows how the end will come?

      Voted up, awesome, and interesting.

The end, the end - when will it be? It is a poem of what we all must expect someday. I voted up, shared and pinned it.

      My ending ...

"Guide, my mentor, one and only true friend

Who waits for me and always stands nearby"

Not quite as eloquent as your words, Martin.

Awesome poem. I really like that Dark Choir music.
