Arms Crossed And Fast Asleep

Updated on March 12, 2016

I Tried To Write

My eyes shut

The wind chimes echoing outside

They can be heard loud and clear throughout the house

A small yawn and then a big yawn followed

A long day but that doesn't stop me

I will keep going until I accomplish what I have set out to do

Maybe with a few unexpected catnaps in between

Thoughts of sweet silence

Darkness never so appealing

My body leaning

As my head slumps forward

If I was a pinball machine

You would see the words Tilt

Out of steam

More time to dream

One slipper on and one slipper off

My body snuggled inside my bathrobe

Early thoughts teased by a pillow and a blanket

Drumroll please

As my heart loves the atttention

Under the spotlight once again

Beating louder and louder

Showing off in front of the whole body

Look at me

Look at me

Always appreciated and never noticed

Behind the scenes kind a guy

Rightfully so

Deserves a standing O

Gypsy Rose Lee My thoughts go faster than the speed of light. I am amazed and thrilled at the speed. Now facing a problem how do I catch them. Sometimes I watch and other times I lasso. Thank you for reading and sharing. Isn't grand to see what we see. Always a challenge to see what comes next. Have a good night.

billybuc I figure if I write long enough my bad writing will wear off like a cheap pen that looks good until it runs out of ink. I give it the test of time. Thank you for hanging in through all my transitions and growth. The sun is shining and the birds are squalking. So many good thoughts and wonderful people to share with. Off to work. I will have to hold that feeling for later. When the weather turns nice my work gets crazy. Thank you for reading and sharing.
