As Dust Settles

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Hesitance served is a heavy meal,

stuck in the gullet like a rock,

insoluble with weight and the antagonist of decision,

the molestation of doubt.

Seeds so small as to be unnoticed,

grow like wildfire,

singeing all that approaches stability,

and underpinning the subtle mist of past.

Ghosts disguised as decisions,

haunt the minds of open souls,

their whispers soft and expressive,

their intent hard and destructive.

To question the question,

one must first know the subject,

its expression and nuances,

raw and unclothed.

To understand the answer,

one must step into the void and trust a heart,

the doubts and questions the path of learning,

the centring of a knowing mind.

Time reveals the nature of action,

the scope of flaws and the potential of love,

irrepressible and undeniable,

in the surrender of logic.

Love grows from nurture.
