As She Wonders
A cut of the wrist as her pain becomes so obvious
The red blood flows out as she lays motionless
Another burn to her arm to let her know she’s a victim
To societies definition of what is perfection
She now wonders if anyone would miss her if she dies
Wonders why she has no shoulder for the tears that she cries
She wonders if her life is a mere waste of time
Why should she go on living a life full of grime?
And as the “popular” girls let her know that she’s a "freak"
Her self esteem loses another strand and she becomes more weak
No one cares who she is, or what she likes to do
She’s only know as the girl to hurl insults to
And her parents don’t take the time to ask how if she is ok
Or take part in her life before she is gone away
The day that they find her, they all had no clue
That the neglect and torment would all tear through
And now she took her own life to get rid of the pain
The laughs, the stares, the thousands of hurtful names
Another lost soul, a victim to hate
When will it be enough? When will it dissipate?
It’s becoming harder to be accepted by many
They’ll call you ugly, stupid, to fat or to skinny
How many lives are lost to suicide?
The only peace these victims know is when they die
