I have the tendency to be pedantic,

feet move slowly,

methodically.

The rhythm of movement

lacks the luster

of asphalt shining between my toes.

In moments

more practical

than magical--

Shoes worn

with the mileage of life

It's been a long walk on the pavement. It's time to take that path through the woods and down by the brook.

audrey, my story on hubpages, "Styrofoam plates" contains masturbation and sodomy references and it hasn't been tagged by HubPages. I don't think it's that much on their radar. Side note, you should read Styrofoam Plates :-)

Thank you for the advice Ercolano. Sometimes what comes out of the meeting between pencil and paper is not pretty but still speaks to the heart enough--I just haven't placed anything like that here yet.

I'm new here too, but as of yet, I haven't seen anything too risque, so not quite sure, but a member advised me to look in the tutorials to learn more about this kind of thing. If it is too much for the site though a warning will appear on your piece under 'my account' and you get a chance to fix it. I think some debate goes on in the forums about these things. I have used profanity a number of times and seen it too, it all seems to be accepted but ads won't appear, if you've signed up for them. Personally, I write what I want to and wait to be told if its inappropriate, hasn't happened yet. Having said that, I do hold back on some things, I think my space time anomaly piece was the most risque I've ventured - but then that is pretty tame.

And it reminds me of my daughter. One day, I asked her, "Where did your shoes go?" She looked at me with her big green eyes and said, "They goed every where I walked."
