At A Harlem ATM...

He stood there dumbfounded,

Wide eyes staring vacantly at the machine,

So complicated!

All those decisions to make;

And the card,

So sleek and new,

He felt almost white--

But not quite,

Just so many choices--

Which button to push,

To slide the crisp, new, bills

Into the tray--

Was it "A", "B", or "C"?

He thought he knew,

'Til finally in dismay,

He slammed his fists and walked away,

Frustrated, broke,

And in disarray...
