At Easter

Updated on April 2, 2015

Like a river with no end

life flows on

and it ends for people

who are called to paradise

but here on earth

life continues throughout the centuries

as new generations

grow and gain wisdom

there is never any sorrow

to a life that ends

for its soul now free

roams in the valleys of heaven

there souls sit upon riverbanks

where wild flowers grow

they sing songs of praise to the Lord

who rose on Easter morn

a time to rejoice

and cast away earthly sorrows

to watch over and give comfort

to those who are left behind

so if a loved one has passed on

feel them beside you

reach out your hand

and a responding touch you’ll find

so many mysteries of life

we cannot understand them all

but we can praise the mighty Lord

who loves each and every one of us

so this Easter let us rejoice

love one another

fill our hearts with gladness

when the Easter church bells chime

Very inspiring poetry with beautiful lines. You described the reality of life and about soul. The souls sit above in heaven and enjoy God's nature and watch and guide us if we really seek for guidance. Very well said.

Thanks for sharing it. Voted up and awesome.

What an assurance, Rasma " there is never any sorrow to a life that ends"... because of the resurrection of the Lord which is commemorated on one designated Sunday called "Easter ", the day humanity has chance to hear His words " I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, even if he has died, he shall live."

Thank you for a poem echoing good news.

      Voted beautiful.

      Peace with us.
