At Journey's End..a poem of perspective
At Journey's End

Journey sent and thoughts divine,
imparting all a soul can find,
to instil the heart with all it can be,
and in vision embrace all it can see,
for journeys end with destinations found,
on quenched and parched defiant ground,
tempting duplicitous confusion bound,
for to earn an end a soul resounds.
What matter journey's course to yield,
to stubborn minds with heaven's seal,
when gormless souls play the game,
in brash and thoughtless selfish name,
to arrive at end with just the same,
no blessing given, with scars and blame,
smoothed out from strife and struggle worn,
they stand as one with divine souls born.
In choice this travail of human path,
ensues no matter what the heart,
blessing or damned within this shell,
the end finds peace in all hearts quelled,
and judge we may each soul off course,
but they are bound by their resource,
and for all their pain and suffering paid,
at journey end they too are made.
So view not the path of any man,
lesser than you and where you stand,
for at journeys end we all stand free,
the life we've led its purpose be.
No matter how different our lives, we are all on the same journey.
