"At Rest"

Eyes shut but open

Your minds

Eye

Dont believe in God

Complex

Hard to say what I believe

In me, you, us lie the dragons and demons from a million years ago

Thrusting back and forth

Shifting plates

To get a bigger slice of pie

Gluttonous ingrates biting their own hands as they feed themselves

Sewage

Shooting slop out their ears, mouths and ass

Making a mess for me, to me, with me

Mopping up all your dirty deeds

With words as sweet as these

Who needs sugar?

Just a spoonful in ma tea

Legs crossed pinkies out

Sitting across from you is me

Lovely afternoon for a quick read ay chum?

Sip

Sip

Sip

Breathe

At rest

Eric, I've searched but found not; very passionate prose, no objective that I am able to discern. Please know that none of my words are meant to place failure, blame et.al.; my bad! Perhaps my associative knowledge does not slide laterally. Perhaps I am dull-witted. Regardless, Eric, quite an intriguing, "active" bit of written emotion which eludes my grasp. Thanks, again!

Hi Robert, this is stream of consciousness writing. I just start and go. It's titled "At Rest" as a joke really. This is my mind idling and trying to relax, this is what happens. It's also slightly about man and his God complex and his egocentric ways.

Thanks very much for that explanation, Eric, it adds flow to the reading AND helps me understand your work. Always fun, see you next time, my eloquent, artistic friend! :-)

This one does need a decoder ring, a few do actually now that I think of it. They are fun for sure. Thanks for the compliments Robert, and thanks for the visit.
