To write stars

to sing rainbows

to form

desire

How did I come

to desire that the window of time

unleash the spark of soul

that moves tongue

in the hymn of life?

How did I come to know

the fullness of blue

and the passion of red

in the forming of my dreams?

And how will I come to

return to the panoply of my heart’s desire?

I have come to this—

to this place of the heart

unbound

and wandering.

Let my song pour forth

into the heedless winds

to be carried

and rested

at your heart’s door.
