At the Edge

By Tony DeLorger ©201

My heart is still,

poised,

release just a

touch away.

I feel the trembling,

the anticipation

of love resigned,

a look,

the knowing

of a souls intention.

Once given,

the surrender ensues,

like a bird in flight,

a freedom found,

a right resolved.

How I long for it,

that kiss

of tender acceptance,

of souls entwined,

where flesh melds

and minds coalesce,

where hearts find home

and the world stands quietly

in humble respect.

Here I wait,

my moment near,

my yearning in hope

of resolution.

Move closer my love,

my soul is open.

Hi tlpoague. Glad you liked the poem. I have two previous published works of poetry, and some 300 further poems for possible publication. As we all mature and improve with age and experience, I have waited for the next book and will soon seek an appropriare publisher. I'm so glad you appreciate my work and thankyou for you comment.
