Updated on December 25, 2013

How to Increase Readership for your Article- Making your articles interesting Part 8

In this article, you will learn the importance of attaching very attractive photos to your content and how it's able to generate readership for your content. The article will also provide an insightful guide on how to place photos or illustration on your articles to make your article both interesting to read and to increase readership for your content.

*Attaching interesting photos to your articles helps the reader to understand the general concept and ideas being discussed in the piece of writing better. It helps to make reading easier also. Attaching interesting photos also makes the content look visually attractive and interesting to read. The more interesting your article is the more a reader is more likely to share or comment hence increasing the visibility of your content in the search engine.

Most article directories would show or display newly written articles with interesting photos on their homepage as a way of making their homepages look more attractive. This helps to increase the visibility of your content as well as readership. It will also make your article more apparent to readers among other related articles as reader browse the article directory.

* A thumbnail is usually the first thing that catches the attention of most readers or draws their attention to the title of the ranked content in a search engine or as a shared link on a social network. When you attach an interesting photo to your article, it will attract reader’s attention to your work as the photo appears as a thumbnail among other related topics in the search engine results. Photos are a lot easier to interpret and they give the potential reader an idea of what to expect in the content. It usually gives the reader a clue to how interesting the article would be. A prospective reader or researcher would be more attracted to click on the link with an attractive photo related to his search.

*When illustrating your content, the number of photos to put on your content page could depend on the length of the article - i.e. more photo attachments to longer articles so as to make them less boring to read and to hold the reader's attention from the start to finish .Where to place the photos will also depend on the length of the article itself as well as the content of the article. With short articles, I mostly prefer to place the illustrations at the top of the page or in the middle - half way through the content. This will help to also divide the article into chunks or blocks and paragraphs and make reading easier and exciting. With very lengthy contents , you can put the photos either after every one or two paragraphs to make reading less boring or you could put the photos close to , before or at the side of the paragraph that best explains that particular photo or to give more understanding of that particular point and idea- or close to the paragraph that makes mention of a particular point which is in the photo .You can put the photos in between the content's paragraph most specifically close to the paragraph (before or after ) that the illustration explains or that which carries a particular point illustrated in the photo .

In any case, your photos and illustration should be interesting and catchy. It should also relate to your discussion. Your photos should also be original so as to avoid getting it or your content deleted from the article directory .You could Photoshop your pictures to add more color and beauty.
