Autumn Love: A Poem

Updated on October 2, 2012

Autumn rise, give way to love

the story of you and I

You were young, I was younger

and hope was in my eyes

You were the sky, I was a star

burning bright and true

Red and gold, I drifted down

falling hard for you

Somehow then, did I know

I would always love you?

Autumn fall, like memories

drifting through my mind

Years have passed, but I recall

that once there was a time

When you and I were new in love

our souls and fingers entwined

Autumn now means so much more

the beginning of my life
