Awol She Went

Updated on November 4, 2011

Where oh where has Mz. Bella gone

Gone away her mind from dusk till dawn

Nowhere to be, nowhere to find

Clearly she has lost her creative mind

Time waits to hold her hand

Out into the ocean her tears like sand

Trickling down her paled brown face

Gone into the depths of another place

Many see as she passes by

Watching her step with no more words to cry

She wears a stare so lonely and cold

Once she was a child so creative and bold

Mama now asks where her child has gone

Gone away Mama my mind now withdrawn

Fingers tips left without a feeling

I call upon for a miracle healing

Will she return from this place unknown?

From a place so gray and hard as stone

One day she will return to claim what was

Only leaving a probable cause

Probable her cause, fugitive sanity

Longing to reveal her beauty and vanity

A state of uncertainty left to linger

Knock; knock no answer muted telephone ringer

Bella you are one of the best Hubbers here, and I love your writing. Sometimes our writing and the part of us that does the thinking for our writing needs a break or a well-deserved holiday. Don't be hard on yourself. Your hubs are awesome.

Anyway, you could not be awol because I see your feed on Facebook. LOL. Have a sweet day. :)

Very well thought out poem that we can all relate to when we have lost our train of thought.

I can definitely identify with this verse this week. I seem to be rather unfocused...scatter-brained. I think I have been working too much and not writing enough...where is the justice. I should be sleeping in a tent in New York! LOL! WB

I shouldn't say this, but happy to find someone else feeling like me because I can barely write anything at the moment no matter what I try.
