Baby Limerick A Day With H.J.And Other Silly Poems

Grand Children Are Amazing

I am smitten with two little people who amuse me every time I see them. Actually they amuse me for days after I see them. They amaze me so much I face time them when I haven't seen them for a couple of days. They live across town. Sometimes they are pleasant , sometimes they are not. Sometimes I have to bit my tongue and let their parents guide and direct them the way I would not. Last week I pulled grandparent's prerogative for the first time in three years. I won't do so very often.

Here are some of my silly thoughts about these little people. H.J. is the eldest and R.A. is about 20 months younger than her brother.

When H.J. Was Just Weeks Old

Walking through Costco

ten feet off the ground

pushing the stroller round and round.

Baby fingers and

baby toes makes me giggle

then write prose.

Hey hey hey

looking silly

and sounding that way.

Staring at H.J.

Phone rings can't talk

pushing H.J.

can hardly walk

Walking through Costco

ten feet off the ground there goes H.J.

food court bound.

Writing Prose.

Walking through Costco ten feet off the ground

pushing H.J.

we're homeward bound.

Tireless Has Lost Her Mind! No She Became A Grandmother

Until my brother saw me with H.J., he would never believe I would admit to acting silly. He has three grand children. So he doesn't tease me about being goofy. There is something about becoming a grandparent that sends all sensibility out the window.

Eighteen Months

"Guck, guck", says the duck

"Baah, baah," says the lamb

"Mooooo, mooo," says cow

The pig and horse just smile

Eighteen months toddling here running there

Wiggle, jiggle and giggle

Fall down

Holler,

Look around

Drama to follower

No audience

All better

Splish splash give the garden a bath

Splish splash

Grammy and H.J.enjoy garden bath .

Laugh, laugh.

Conversation; H.J. And Unkle Unkle

For nearly a year H.J. always called one of his uncles," Unckle-Unckle" One day while driving with this particular uncle this conversation commenced. "H.J. why do you always call me unckle-unckle? Do you know my name? "

"Yes."

"What is my name?"

"Aaron"

"Good, now what's my name?"

"Unckle-Unckle, Aaron, the boy"

Three year old 1, 20 year old 0.

Unbelievable H.J Is Four

Four, how could the baby who made me giggle be four? He still makes me giggle.

Christmas he got a Kindle fire. His only had experience with IPads , tablet was a new word for him. He called it an omelette for sometime.

A few days ago he walked up to a friend of ours and started telling her about the new carpet they had at his house. What four year old talks to people about their new carpet?

Baby RA Arrived Awhile Ago

We know little about girls in our household, but we are learning.

She is a girl with few words

She is a girl with an opinion

She is a girl.

Baby RA

Baby Ra how so do you act so girly with other little girls?

I didn't know girls came with a purse gene.

You dance and prance

While carrying your purse

R. A. has always been a talker. We just didn't know what language she was telling us her stories. Now she speaks English.

.

Baby RA, now big sister and little sister

Watch out misters I'm the sister and I have an opinion.

RA's Quote of the month(28 months old). When she is asked if she wants something, if she does her reply, "I sure do".

Other quotes:

While grabbing something out of her elder brothers hand, "You Share".

RA does two according to the textbook, "No"

Not a quote but certainly a statement. When being told it was time to leave the barn and the new kids only hours old, RA sat in the mud in front of the barn door. Grammy felt like a policeman removing a protester.

R.J. So Sweet

HJ didn't eat solid food until he was pretty old. R.A. started a little younger. At five months R.J. started to cry every time some one ate something. R.J is a eating boy. According to his Unckle- Unkle, " R.J. is a baby of the people". He smiles at everyone until till he is hungry. He sits and watches and watches. Put him in a room full of people he's happy. Put him alone with toys he is happy. Put him in his car seat and he screams.

Generally

R. J. is very easy. But he is a push over only when it comes to standing. When his brother or sister take things from he tells them, what for, in whatever language it is her speaks currently.

I looked at that picture and thought who is that kid. He is walking and talking and loves the guck gucks that live on the farm down the road. Thanks for visiting.

      Hi,

That was the sweetest poem ever. I have a little niece who is now one year old. And my sister and I take her everywhere we go. Babies are such a joy.

Ann we went to the pool this afternoon. I was really 10 feet off the ground when a lady said to me ,"Oh your the grandma." We were splashing around in about 6 inches of water and having a grand time. Bless you for visiting

Peggy and Margarita. Thanks for indulging my silliness. I just couldn't resist. Now I understand how my dad felt when his grand children were born. He was a bookkeeper for years then a deputy sheriff. Those babies could make him sillier than believable. Blessings

There are not many sweeter sights than looking at a baby...counting the little fingers and toes...in...or out of Costco. Really liked your little limerick with HJ. :)
