Parallel Living

Updated on May 27, 2012

When walking talking

typing a little

seeing the world as i see it

knowing that what I see

may be so

but not so so that it is unescapable

my world is for me

along side me are friendly strangers

living in parallel worlds

so different

so strange

their expectations laid bare

aline with their sight

yet not with mine

as much as I talk

about how I see life

caring about how they see theirs

it is strange

how people define happiness

or at least live out half lives

full of things they attract

that wouldn't make me happy in the least

yet to be fair

would they care for the world that is mine

dealing with demons more real

instead of made up imps?

It is nice to know our minds were that much aligned.

Your insight is astounding. People really do attract things that don't make them happy, yet as when one feeds a stray cat one can't thereafter get it to stay away, one languishes in a misery of his or her own making. And if we knew what another's problems were, we would not wish to trade places with that person.

Thank you for sharing. I always learn from your hubs.

      Sorry about your demons, though.
