Bare To The Bone

Updated on August 21, 2012

From Start To Finish

Looking back at our life we all had to start somewhere

The good,bad or somewhere inbetween

Life happens and sometimes we just don't know or understand it

We keep changing every day if we like it or not

Then one day we say was it all worth it

I hope you will say it loud and clear with me

Absolutely

From the beginning we know we were going places

In what direction we were not sure

Maybe times the wrong direction and later it became amazingly clear

Like a camper we packed up our gear and moved to a new location

Hoping this one was better than the last one

Then one day we had dreams that we could stay forever in this wonderful place

Raise our family and teach them everything we know

Life is hardly without it's struggles and disasters

Once again we realized sometimes a little to late

We have to appreciate

Yes appreciate what we have before it is gone

Live in the moment

It sounds so simple but believe me it is so much harder than it looks

Many different things enter into the picture

Emotions,maturity,timing and surroundings and family

I could list a half dozen more

I have learned to burn every bridge that I have crossed and when I look back

I wave back like an old friend who I will never see again

My heart and passion is on everything I do in the present

Searching for new dreams and things that our light years away

I have no plans on stopping and I have just scratched the surface of many more wonderful things to come

I am anxious and nervious

Excited and thrilled

Whatever becomes of my life I can only say

It was some trip

I felt like a went down a river boat on the Mississip

But that would be a story told already

I like to tell a story that is some what different and new

I have opened a new chapter in my life

Where I get frustrated more than before

Not because I didn't try or because I am not happy

It is because my dreams are scattered in so many different directions

They are like sea shells on the beach

Where there is one there is many

Each one so different but in many ways alike

So as I gather my sea shells one by one

Only to toss them back into the ocean once again

Life will remain a mystery to me

This time I accept it instead of fighting it every step of the way

So if I could give anyone just a handful of words of advice

Be happy and when life gets you down

Laugh and find a way to turn it around

It won't happen over night and when it does happen you might not even notice

Because you are so engulfed in the moment

Good for you and leave the worrying to someone else who has nothing else to do

We have a world that spins since the beginning of time

Ready to love one person and then all mankind

Life, love and nature go hand in hand. We must pass the love on.

DREAM ON...WOW..your wrods are very well put in place on this one...people like us are lucky, we have been able to take our experiences in life and rearrange them to fit into the puzzle...not everyone reaches the heights of comprehension as some.

The attitude we express towards life/society is the " Karma" which surrounds us ...

loved and enjoyed your take on the subject..
