Bare In Mirror (tanka)

Updated on January 29, 2015

Bare in his mirror

Was the reflection of he

Which he couldn’t see

For he would turn off the light

To the voices of his peers

It really amazes me how you can put so much meaning in so few words. Each of us will interpret this in a different way. I see a poor boy who's been bullied. Great job.

      Voted up and interesting.

      Very sad, indeed.

My son has always walked to the beat of a different drum.

He was ridiculed and bullied. It took a toll on his core being.

I love this, Martin. It's mysterious, frightening and thought-provoking, all at the same time. It's interesting to think about how the voices of our peers influence our lives.
