Bear This Kiss (poem)

Updated on June 14, 2015

It’s not for us alone we bear this kiss

This dream of fantasies of long ago

This island in the sea of the amiss

When all words fail its truth will always glow

There other lovers drifting in this sea

Who harbor gentle kisses of their own

Who search like us to find eternity

In realms which all our kisses have foreshown

And as we venture further toward our day

We see the gloom of darkness steal our past

And younger lover caught up in the fray

Lost to a world for kisses moves too fast

So bear our Joyful burden holding tight

Our kisses are the echoes of their night

Music only

A little different from your usual poems and it sounds really good! Enjoyed it.
