Beauty’s Shadow (poem)

Updated on June 26, 2015

Behold the beauties that surround each day

Of hope for more sweet moments to recall

Another priceless picture to our wall

Of seasoned dreams that take us far away

Peruse the petals of a rose to bloom

Whose scent will draw you closer till you kiss

The lips that hold the secret of life’s bliss

And guards a heart alone amidst its doom

Behold how shadow gives the rose its form

Adds darkness to the mystery inside

A flower all around was stemmed in pain

Now see the rose that weathered through my storm

With all through all real moments to confide

If we could ever live this life again

What a lovely poem Martin. I focused on the rose and it gave it a 'flowery' lift. I voted it up, shared and pinned it.

Lovely, but I'm not sure I'd like to live this life again, especially when the next is to be so much better!

Beautifully poignant, Mh. Love the guitar music.

We must live this present day for it may be all we have ...

      Up ++++ and away
