It can happen. My friend's mother died of bee stings. :-(

Was Stan performing in a flea circus by chance?

If so, I did not know they were open to ants!

Allergic reactions to bee stings causes death and that is scary, sometimes you don't know if you are allergic only when it is too late do others see it.

This is close to what happened to me yesterday, i was washing a window in my garage when a wasp flew in my face, causing me to fall off the ladder, not hurt, but MIGHTY sore...

Is ' Stan ', the twenty-three year old ladybird? Am I reading this right? lol!!

If not, then anaphylactic shock by bee sting, as alluded to by your other fine commentators can indeed induce a deadly reaction.

Bees are great in their right place, but they can be scary - and how much more on a tightrope!

It's scary how such small creatures can be so deadly.

What an ending! This is a good piece of wisdom to bear in mind when walking a tightrope...
