To Belong

The greatest treasure our lives can hold, and in its finding, is so rare.

And all the gold owned by kings of old, simply cannot ever compare.

The feelings that we all cherish, and the ones that mean the most,

Are in being a part of the family group, no matter the claim or boast.

When we can share in glad tidings, found in just our being there,

It's then we feel warmth in belonging, and showing how much we care.

When our name is called, it has great meaning, and special to us all.

No matter our size or great stature, it's good for the big and small.

A part of the main, or ship on the sea, each pulling our weight and parts.

A team, or bunch, what ever the names, It's giving it all, and our hearts.

When we join with the choir and in singing, a message is in our song,

Every soul here is for a good reason, meaning every one does belong.
