Between Two Worlds

Updated on April 24, 2012

Beauty Between Distances

Looking out into the distance
I feel the breeze across my cheeks
thinking of you and so much distance between us
your culture has harvested many great old fashioned ways
while my world is where trouble stays
dreaming at night
wanting to make what is wrong right
yet my eyes are weak
I cannot contend
with the way I feel
your distance is so strong
yet I hear the beauty
of the wind
that holds this distance
between two worlds
one for you
another for me
but it is where we meet in between
that makes the distance so great
as we travel along alone yet
footsteps many miles away
walking beside us each day

Wonderful poem. Sounds like a long distance relationship. I have experienced that.
