Between the Pages of a Book

Updated on March 19, 2017

You sit high and mighty,

So deserve such a part,

And with the flick of a wrist

Your words tug at my heart.

With your intricate spells

You right the wrong.

You bind me to worlds

Where I do not belong.

And your wonderful words

Wrap me in an embrace,

And carry me with to

A beautiful place.

Some dusty and old,

Others shiny and new,

Though it's not how you look

That makes me love you.

It's the stories you weave

From some ink on a page,

That keeps me enamored,

In love, and engaged.
