Beyond the Storm

Updated on February 25, 2012

Beyond The Storm

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

It is not the need of human will,

that draws on plight and anguish.

It is a universe of balance,

for us to learn and accept.

For with the resistance of change,

we would remain still, unevolved, chained

to a repetitive life of complacency.

For all the pain and anguish that life can deal,

it is not guilt or wrongdoing that we should feel.

It is the opportunity to live with understanding,

without the rejection of ill-experience.

Pain is then the teacher of life,

The panacea for knowing oneself,

who we are, from what we do.

We can grieve, get angry, fall helplessly to pain,

but it exists for our own delivery, conquest.

The irony is that when we understand pain and strife,

we will experience pain less, proving the process.

Pain then becomes something else, an opportunity,

to grasp the very core of life and shake it,

until it yields the beauty beyond the storm.

      Meaningful poem...thank you

Yes, I think that till we don't accept our own pain and everyone's pain we can't watch it and really know and experience the light and pure love pulsing deep in our heart, and that real happiness we all have within...

Pain and suffering is always the sharpest teacher. My motto is: find the lesson quick so you can move on through it.

When I first started HubPages I had about thirty articles and alot of poetry, two published books full infact. But now I write at least one post a day- its all fresh and new; have done for a few months. I write every day anyway, so its better to post new, depending on how I feel.

      Hey Tony!

Nice write, I like this one. It is evident you really embrace the concept of balance.

This piece was nice and flowy - and as always tells a special story.

Question, are these all older pieces from you or do you write and then post after you write them?
