I have indeed seen that picture you're talking about, and it's pretty insane.

I do remember Twilight Zone, thats a GREAT show haha

Some people say that Hell is remaining here on earth. I can see why, too. I understand your perspective as well. It is scary how much truth can be masked.

That illustration blows my mind, Ben, and married to the text, the more so. I am fairly certain that is the objective. hehe ;-> So it is good writing, without a doubt.

A little story: When I was about 14, long before TV or the computer and all their technology had come to be, there was a painting published in "Life" magazine. It was so totally realistic, one would have sworn it was a photograph. Turned out that the artist had gridded a real photograph into small scale squares and painted each square of the photograph exactly as that square was, onto the canvas, till all the photograph had been copied and painted tiny part by tiny part onto the canvas. In my mind, it looked like digitalization, though I didn't know what that meant.

It sent chills through me. In a way - it really was a form of digitalizing, perhaps. But what chilled my gills was that it occurred to me how easily reality can be duplicated to the point of being indiscernible from the real thing and I felt in my guts that was the direction the world was moving. It seems more and more probable. The dangerous thing is that it's still fake and reality is simply swept under the rug, so to speak. It's delutional. It occurred to me back then that is what Hell is: simply missing what is real and buying into the fake. You wouldn't remember "Twilight Zone" - but it would be like one of its episodes when someone was left on Earth who still saw truth and beauty but was so outnumbered by those who bought into the fakeness as to be thought totally out of it.

Any thought on that, as a person of this time?

Pretty cool man. I like how the cold computer jargon is sprinkled with paragraphs of dramatic prose. The computer stuff is funny and ironic, but the piece gains its depth from the story running thoughout. All well written. Cheers.

How you can compare the human mind and a computer in such a masterful way is beyond me. We are sometimes as cold and uncaring as the machines we use. But then again, we are so much more. lovely work.
