Birdie's Call

As I woke up

I heard a bird's call

At the brake of the day

How beautiful it was!

Coooo-o--coooo-o

I lay still, to listen

And once again I heard

In short, two spaces

Feeble and distant

Coooo-o--coooo-o

How melodious it was!

I looked, wished for it

To fly and perch on the window sill

To hear it again, its call

Coooo-o--coooo-o

Apart from the sparrow, my favourite is the Dove, followed by the Nightingale, hummingbird, etc.

We esoteric writers use birds a great deal in our writings. They represent the freedom of the Soul in flight.

Wonderful, loving and exquisite poetry. Much Love.

Lovely call to bird lovers and birds alike. In NZ we have lots of very unique birds other than our kiwi. But Tui's are truly amazing and mimic the other birds. Thanks for sharing your passion, take care
