Bitter truth

Words fail as our eyes met
Eternity held for ransom in twinkling seconds
Under the same old sky we met
In sweet days that turn to sour nights
Like a dream of billion blooming roses
Fragrance of which delight
Inviting enchanted bees to dance
A tune we dance in twilight
And fragrance we adored in dawn

All but turned sour
Hopes of a future
Blown away by passing breeze
Tossed and crumpled by the ocean sprays
Buried and forgotten in the vast universe

Heated kissed turned into burning tears
Sweet embraces into brutal punches
Truth told in tied tongues
That deny today’s yesterday
But it was told
That it will unfold
To befoul our love
And we flee like a dove

~End~

Better to have had love and lost it than to have never loved. A wonderful bitter sweet poem.

Thanks Ericdierker. I totally agree with with your wise thought "Better to have had love and lost it than to have never loved". Can be painful but I guess good memories are their to keep. Cheers.
