Celebrating Black History Month
Black History Month
This month is a time for reflecting on the history and contributions of Black people…
A history that is rich in antiquity.
A history that is full of trials and triumphs.
A history that began way before the slave ships and the plantations…
A time to remind the children of the rich history that their ancestors left for them to treasure and honor…
Black history month, a time to honor the legacy of those who stood against Jim Crow wasn’t afraid of Willie Lynch and any other groups that tried to deny them basic human rights.
Black history month, a time to educate others about the true history of the black struggle and the true history of what it took to survive on those slave ships, in those dungeons and across the Middle Passage.
Every race has a history; every race has a story that should be told whole...
Told with Pride leading the way.
Told without worrying about offending others.
Told because the children have a right to know.
Black history month, a time to acknowledge the Inventors, the Scholars, the Educators, the Master Builders, the Artist and all those other Silent Heroes and Sheroes that are mentioned in a whisper in the history books…
Too many adults and children are unaware of the vital contributions that were made by Black people…
Too many people have denied and lied about the impact that was given to the world by people of color…
Too many people make mockery of Black history, make mockery of Black heroes and they treat this month with anger, with silence, as if our history doesn’t count…
Black history month is all about pride and trying to make other realize that there is no history without including Black history…
Teach the truth there always is proof.
Black History Month is Every Month if truth is allowed to be told whole...
