Books You Must Read

Updated on November 23, 2016

Hate List By: Jennifer Brown

This book has won over 10 awards and is looked at as a must read for teens. It has a story that will make you laugh and cry. It will shake you to the core and it will change the way you look at not only killers, but the people that loved them before they were killers and who will love them even though they did something inexcusable. This is a book I find myself thinking about years after reading it. I have recommended so many times.

Speak By: Laurie Halse Anderson

This book is a must read for anyone who has ever suffered through any kind of sexual abuse. I cried for the main character in this book and just wanted to hug her. Laurie Halse Anderson made you feel as if you know this person. That is something that not a lot of authors can do. This book makes you really step back and look at what may be happening in others lives, you just never know.

The Kite Runner By: Khaled Hosseini

This is a book that I was forced to read in high school ( read, as in skim it and get the rest of the info online). It wasn't until about 3 years ago that I decided to go to the library and check it out. I sat and read this entire book and then went to bed. I found myself thinking about it for days and going back and rereading places. That is what this book will do to you, make you think and appreciate your life.

Anna and the French Kiss By: Stephanie Perkins

This is the most adorable love story. This book is not for everyone it is sappy and sweet and like a fairy tale. But personally, I loved it and i).t made me smile many times. It would be a perfect book for a ladies book club. It a a must read for all of you romantic comedy lovers out there.

Isla And The Happily Ever After By: Stephanie Perkins

This is a book that I read because it was by Stephanie Perkins, who also wrote Anna and the French Kiss. I actually just finished this book a couple of days ago. I had a different book that I was going to put on the list, but I replaced it with this one. No one can write a love story with such humor and grace as Mrs.Perkins.
