Beautiful Autumn ( poetry to honor a fine time of the year)
Leaves to tell a story
Shadows are cast by spreading limbs, trees in such a colorful array,
We long to keep them, all never to leave, the beauty of every day.
Brightest times, is this season of each year, as this fine Fall to start,
The sweet smells to linger, as are short lived, each longs to be a part.
Special leaves are painted in reds and gold, and the shades of brown,
The brisk day's winds, to swirl them about, then, soon all to tumble down.
The sweet Fall air, does blow our hair, as we now, this nice time to enjoy,
It so brightens up, our daily lives, fun shared by every girl and boy.
Hats off to Autumn, or just as well, in breezes, happy to oblige us all,
The long hot days of Summer are gone, with our approaching Fall.
The days of football and Halloween's so near, a time for family cheer.
Cool nights delight, from each windowsill, a first frost, soon to appear.
The piling leaves, fun for happy pups, all so frisky, as they roll about,
The air, then is so full of joyfulness, reflected in smiles, by every shout.
Could we all do without Autumn, of colors, we're so grateful, to revere,
Every heart, almost bursts, in gladness, as a wonderful time is now here.
