...Breath of September...

Updated on September 18, 2012

Black and white

wind and rain

Septembers breath

blows warm again

Braids and breezes

my sons' sneezes

my amber heart freezes

then beats fiercely again

***

Dust and leaves mingle

dancing on shingles

cut out patterns

straight from

whoever you know as

God

Gracious lady embraces

beautiful young faces

across tables and distances

that not even destiny can deny

***

The breath of September

like fingers in my hair

tentatively remembers

how much I care

about the sleep and the rest

of the Wheel and the Nest

and the birds that will be

singing again in the Spring

A whirling trip through the seasons and to return in our thoughts as we yearn for Spring once again. Beautiful imagery and well done. Thanks for sharing your work.
