Bridges Crossed

Updated on December 13, 2013

Life's connecting bridges...standing tall,

held together from rocky shore,

with present strands...we made.. as we go

through life's fog laden...paths of light

From nowhere.. do they appear

forming the paths we seek...

hoping they lead... into places

that will be full of happiness and

delight

Yet often the future is cloudy and fog laden...

we know not...what lies ahead,

as we cross the bridges we come to..

our hearts laden with fear and apprehension

Only true courage..and the hope

of greater truths and expectations

of inner peace... guide us forward ..

knowing that behind it all

He waits for us...

What an interesting thought on bridges. They are so full of mystery and surprise. Love how you wrote this idea out in your poetry. Best of all, our creator waits for us to cross the bridge to knowledge and love.

thank you for comment Jackie .. it is beautiful..

I wish I had the strong conviction of my beliefs... as you and Faith have..

I can only write words that express my thoughts... while I know that it will be up to him.. I accepted my mortality and can only hope that He greets me..

      love you Jackie

Thank you Faith .. I have these moments ...when I know I have to write something ...that expresses my love and commitment ...to my conviction of what I believe will be the final end.. knowing that the lord awaits me .. (I hope) for I have done some bad things when I was younger .. if god has forgiven me ..I only believe he will greet me ..

thank you again Faith .. say a prayer for me..

Poignant and powerful, it carries hope in the end. He awaits, that's enough to brave life's uncertainties. Love the picture too!

Yes, it can be frightening at times and knowing He is there waiting is the only comfort we have. But it is enough to get us through; knowing it is all for a reason and He says eye has not seen not ear heard the magnificent things He has prepared for us. We won't be flesh and blood but we will be more alive than we have ever been. We are so lucky to live in this time too that we may pass from one life to another in the twinkling of an eye. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Deep thoughts Michael. Beautiful photo. ^
