"Do Ut Des"

Updated on January 14, 2017

There was a noble soul to the west,

With enough charm to spark curious conversations.

Queer scenes disturbing to some

Satin love inspired holy visions & strange hours without anxiety.

A sinless, stillborn placed above the sheets

A fatal prudence from an accidental misunderstanding

A man proffered to take center stage despite the suffering at hand

All his misfortunate sacrilage didn't sway opinion

Just a beggar spewing about a saving grace

Brilliant points of deviation

Veins in hallowed hands

Inlays of light

No apologies for indulgence

After what you meant to me

Now the time has come

For you to believe in me

Touch my soul

Deep and mysterious. Keep writing. Have a good day.

Lovely poem, it tells a sad and eerie story quite compellingly.
