Brilliant Sunflower

Updated on February 17, 2017

Most beautiful of all Sunflowers, you do so brighten up our daily lives,

Each petal of yours, a brilliant yellow, gracing the midday, as it arrives.

Although your benign scent, not a factor, nevertheless, is no subtractor,

Marvellous as reddest roses, upon our senses, such a grand impactor.

You light up our very days, where the most colourful butterfly plays,

As the greatest reminder, this life is so full of hope, of so many ways.

Towering above us in your heights, precious sights, all of such glory,

Every beautiful presentation so shares with us, its spellbinding story.

Ever brightening, a reflector of the radiant sun, you spread your wide wings,

As the most vibrant of all colorations, gracing wildest birds, your joy brings.

The Grand Master in HIs own Heavenly realm, has gifted us with your being,

The happiness you share, there's none to compare, as your days are fleeing.

I love sunflowers. A whole field of them, as I've seen often in France, makes me smile. You can't fail to be lifted by such a sight. Large and bright and 'in your face'; who can resist them?!

So true "As the greatest reminder, this life is so full of hope, of so many ways " sunflower in early days of blooming turns following the sun-light from East to West, sending a reminder to follow the "Sun of righteousness" from early age to the sunset of earthly life.
