Brilliant (a poem by whonunuwho)

Updated on September 23, 2014
Beautiful skies
Beautiful skies
Canvas of delight
Canvas of delight
A sunset to precede the cloak of night.
A sunset to precede the cloak of night.
A last expression of color.
A last expression of color.
Night is soon to close the day.
Night is soon to close the day.

A Rendering of Color

Beautiful skies preceding the dark of night,

Blue canvas stretched, with its colors bright.

The artist paints. each brush stroke, precise,

Brilliant hues arranged, and all eyes to entice.

A masterful rendering, is there to set us free,

Like a rainbow's array, seen over land and sea.

The visual feast, placed in such a grand display,

Such a restful repose to represent the day.

As evening ends, nighttime's cloak is spread,

While each hungry eye, now content, well fed.

Tomorrow's sunrise comes, a gift of the dawn,

A wonderful awakening, in its light is shown.

No finer creator, of such, this magnificent art,

An expression of values, and we are all a part.

Is ours to receive, this splendid gift of delight,

This marvel perceived, with its colors so bright.

I couldn't have added anything, even if I wanted to. It truly is the most magical of times.
