Bringing Love Into Your World

Updated on January 20, 2015

As this world keeps on turning

the fires of love will keep on burning

lovers who are close and dear

lovers who wish to be near

Love is ever changing

it can be true or fickle

gone like a puff of smoke

leaving a fire smoldering

Throughout the centuries

love has left a trail of broken hearts

emotions twirling

love, jealousy, envy and hate

The bliss of true love

as with love’s first kiss

is the grandest of all

but the hardest to find

As lovers search far and wide

for that right certain someone

never really feeling sure

till someone says eternally yours

Beware as you walk through love’s forest

there is magic you know

but enchantment can fool you

and make you lose your way

Always listen carefully

to what lovers say

look deep into their eyes

and see if it’s love or lies

Tread carefully and hold fast to your heart

don’t give it away for free

make sure that kisses are filled with passion

and that love is truly real

Lovely poem. Love lasts when all other things have passed.

A cautionary one or rather one woven with caution. Different style. Excellent topic, Love.

A very thought-provoking view on love. "Tread carefully and hold fast to your heart," is a warning that should be taken to heart :)
