Mum's "Spaghetti Bolognaise"
1 medium chopped onion; 1/2 teaspoon garlic; 1 Kilo mince steak; 2 teaspoons salt; sprinkle of oregano; 1 tablespoon sugar; tomato paste; good 'slurp' of white or red wine!
Heat a little olive oil in a heavy based saucepan. Add onion and garlic - saute gently until soft. Add mince and cook until browned. Stir in salt and oregano. Add sugar and tomato paste. Simmer, with lid on for fifteen minutes. Add that good 'slurp' of wine! Stir, simmer further 15 minutes and serve over cooked spaghetti, and with hot, crusty bread!
