Bubblews Review - Revenue Sharing Site For Writing
Post Content and Make Money
Bubblews is a newer revenue sharing site where you can write and post content to earn money and get backlinks. I joined the site recently (November 2012), posted three short articles and earned $1.49 so far. I was very surprised to see my earnings accumulate so quickly, shortly after posting each article. I have spent very little time using the site.
Earnings on Bubblews are based on page views, like the Hubpages ad program, but there are additional factors that impact earnings including article "likes", comments and connecting with friends.
You can redeem your earnings via PayPal after you've earned at least $25, which isn't too bad considering Hubpages requires $50 and Adsense requires $100.
Posting an article on Bubblews is very simple. You can add a photo and also links within the article leading to your blog to get backlinks. I have no idea if the backlink is do-follow or not. The site is very new so the link power is probably weak, but it's still a good way to send extra traffic to your own site. Although the site is new, there's already a large member base. After I post an article, it gets instant page views and "likes" within the hour. The earnings begin to add up rather quickly.
Is Bubblews the Next eHow?
The original eHow revenue sharing program is long gone, but at one time, it was one of the best paid writing programs on the Internet and it didn't require a ton of article writing to make money every month. Bubblews might have the same earning potential, but it does seem like it might require more social activity to make money.
I did a little research before joining and found payment proofs so I know Bubblews isn't a scam. I also read forum comments and income reports in blogs and found at least one member earning $500 per month from the site. I know there are other members earning $100 to $200 per month.
The fact that you can earn a couple bucks with minimal effort is attractive. I do plan to write more articles there to see what happens, but I'm curious if the earnings are truly passive or stop when you don't use the site for a few days. The one thing I've noticed about the Hubpages ad program is that I continue to earn money even when I don't use the site for a while.
Spam and Quality Concerns
Bubblews gives you the freedom to post links within your article, and as you can imagine, that's opened the flood gate for spamming. When you add a link to your post, it's the actual link that shows, not an anchor text hyper link. If you look at some of the content on the site, you'll see tons of spammy referral links and garbage. It is to my understanding that they're making an effort to clean it up and prevent it from happening.
Follow the terms of service and don't spam otherwise your account could be closed or you might not be able to get paid when you reach the $25 threshold. I have included links in my articles, but only blog links that lead to further information, not directly to a sales page. You're also only allowed to submit 10 posts per day.
The spam makes me wonder if Bubblews will endure the long term quality standards and updates that are constantly taking place with Google. It does seem like a cool site though. Have you ever used Bubblews? Please leave your comments.
