Schadenfreude

What is Shadenfreude?

Schadenfreude is the malicious pleasure derived from the misfortune of others. It is by far the most satanic form of retributive justice that can be inflicted by any one person against the soul of another.

Questions we ask ourselves

The question remains, how does one person get to such a point that they become the nemesis of others, even those in their inner circle? And counter to that, how does an aggregate of individuals devolve to such an extent that they seek revenge as a means of gratification? Or that the pursuit of deception is acceptable behavior?

Pop culture and realia

Today, our pop culture is fixated on realia. We tune in each and every night to real situational drama, basking in the exploitation and humiliation of real-life people. We have housewives from every city pitted against one another for their share of psychotic celebrity. We also have the bridezilla shows with brides–to-be behaving badly or bachelors and bachelorettes attempting to find true love synthetically. We view shows that underscore subcultures in the mafia (their wives), Jersey Shore crude young adults getting wasted, challenges in the wild that are supposed to foment love connections, and we have even replaced the sanctity of the justice system with a scripted soliloquy by playing out cases for a studio audience. There are televised sitting celebrity judges with larger than life personas who brashly oversee cases that serve up carnage for the millions of viewers who choose to watch this kind of genre.

And, if realia isn’t your thing, there is even a show called, “Revenge” that dishes up the cruelest forms of punishment in retribution of harming the main protagonist’s family. In sum, we have become a society that appears to be nourished on the poisonous infliction of pain on other human beings as a means to quell that which ails our own human suffering.

Delving deeper, there have been studies that conclude that the pleasure found in revenge is grounded in the theory that the deliverer of the punishment receives a jolt of “feel good” every time they administer some form of retribution on their intended target, a selected victim. The poor impoverished and vulnerable victim is no match for this bankrupted conscience who will stop at nothing to deliver the punitive punishment that will feed their insatiable appetite for human torture.

What are bystanders?

Oftentimes, these brutes recruit helpers via bullying. These morally corrupt individuals have made it an occupation of learning personal details about others that can be used against these poor individuals. They also recruit by feigning a common plight, a common enemy if you will, someone who needs a lesson taught to them. And, by virtue of signing on, together they will teach this person a deserved lesson. It doesn’t get any better than this, solidarity sealed in blood.

Of course, the weaker individuals welcome the protection of the bully, relieved that they themselves aren’t being made a target. They know only too well that the bully has an arsenal of resources and will do anything to accomplish their goal. So, the weaker tribe succumbs and does what they are told to do. Fear is a currency that sociopaths regulate to keep their victims and co-agents in line.

History

Historically, we have seen mass examples of bullying played out by disturbed individuals like Hitler, hoping to wipe out what he deemed inferior races in an effort to build a more pure race, “The Arian Nation.” This was not an isolated event because we have seen this globally with other cultures as well, and it appears that as a human race, we are unable to flush this behavior from existence. Instead, we appear to tolerate its coexistence in the world by turning the other cheek or by keeping it as a deep and dark dirty little secret by embracing the role of “bystander.”

The perfect victim

And, what is the anatomy of the perfect victim? What attributes make this individual the perfect prey for an angry predator? Well, first of all, the individual has to be made vulnerable. He or she must be studied carefully to learn about all weaknesses. Scenarios must be set up so that the individual will say things that will separate he/she from family and friends. The victim must be isolated in order to be caught in a web---divide and conquer.

All of that person’s enemies must be gathered and signed on for detail after being made aware of things said or done by the intended target. Cause must be put in place in order to form a seamless united front. The truth must never be told because success rides on the taking of the victim’s civil liberties. Everyone must be onboard in order for the programme to be a success.

The plan

The plan is to make sure that the victim always feels helpless, that their psyche is always tested, making them question their own memory, making them feel inferior to the stronger and overpowering force that is omnipresent. They are to be watched, examined, studied and experimented on in a controlled environment with willing participants interacting with the subject always creating a sterile and inauthentic environment.

The victim subject should be made aware of these manipulated interactions and activities via insidious clues (giving the persecutor the derived joy from the torture being implemented), but key to the success of the torment on the victim must include a united front of lies by all participants. But why would anyone lie or engage in such blatantly evil and covert behavior?

The willingness of the participants to engage in such behavior against an innocent prey is contingent upon the acts of said participants; they must fear for their own survival. What is used is a self-preservation technique that forces others to act in a way that will save them from any harm. Perhaps they might have done something illegal and fear being exposed and being taken to task for such acts? For all intents and purposes, it is covert and unknown to the victim.

The perpetrator uses this fear to recruit his participants. Psychological damage is the goal of the persecutor. Humans are used and manipulated for sport. All parties are to be consumed by the forces of evil thrust upon them. Psychological manipulation or warfare if you will, has been used historically by the military and by civilian divisive individuals in an effort to attain specific goals that in some cases, outside of the military, are egregious-- for personal gain and satisfaction only.

In sum

It is to be understood that these satanic acts are a war on a person’s mind. It is an abusive tactic that subjects the poor victims to dehumanizing mental assaults that wind up decomposing the very essence of the victim’s soul and existence, a target goal for the commandant persecutor whose only objective is to experience “Schadenfreude.”

The Show, Revenge

Forgiveness

"Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that crushed it."

~~~~Mark Twain
Bullying and revenge should not be a part of human interaction. You alone can pay it forward in a positive way by not partaking in such behaviors. One person can make a difference.
    Thank you, Gypsy Rose Lee. However, I do not think bullying will end. Some people thrive on it daily and require it as feeding.
    Thanks for sharing this very thought provoking hub. More and more people should be made aware of this so that perhaps once and for all bullying could be stopped. Passing this on.
    This topic is a sensitive one, but one that should be addressed as an important reminder to all.
    I have been the victim of bullying since childhood and that accounts for the depth of understanding, not brilliance. Although, I thank you humbly for such words.
    Hubpages is a great place because under one voluminous umbrella lives so many great and passionate writers. We are all fortunate.
    WOW, what an endorsement by an awesome writer and educator. I am on the floor--thank you so very much.
    As for bullying, history keeps repeating itself globally and here domestically in our schools and in our culture, sadly. It is the cause of so many suicides.
    People have to say no---never involve yourself in causing another's misery.
    Thanks for the read.
    If Robin writes I read...that's my new mantra on HubPages! You are a woman of depth and compassion and I am now you loyal follower. You speak the truth....there is no place for this kind of behavior in society, and yet it runs unhindered throughout the fabric of our society. It is sad and it cannot be condoned.
