Burning Books

Updated on May 8, 2012

You should never apologize
About the burning of books
You were never going to read
Literacy forgotten and learning lies

You should never apologize
I have never even read those guys

What can you really say
I have never even seen with eyes

And will never need remember why

      HI Handsome!

      I miss you!

Your poem reminds me that no one reads anymore, and what they are missing out on.

I have to check out your new stuff, I have been busy all summer and fall, can't wait for winter.

The goats are doing well. We have a few new additions to the goat herd, Fearless and Fitzty.

Just one of those breakdown spasms of prose you jot down. I sell books online and have for about ten years. This was a momentary lapse into treason against my own home business. LOL. I am an old school scholar at heart, the internet has yet to strip the value of words on paper for me...Thanx for the input Katie. Keep on Hubbing. Blake4d

Makes me think of the fast declining value and worth of actually holding and reading books in this modern internet age, particularly in our classrooms, not to mention this new need to gut and re-write history.
