Burning my Bridges

Updated on November 30, 2014
Source

It is the longest of night
and I am missing you
not only your lips,
but your eyes.. so bright

I know where you are
deep in my mind
where I want to say..
please stay..

While I stray.. into the void
of the empty spaces you left
with this movement so deft
I did not see you leave

With whisper soft feet
leaving only defeat,
where did we.... once meet
entwined now done,
as the setting sun...

Don't try to see me..
for I am only
your reflection of
my own.. imagination

This is so well writtten. It is a sad voice but expresses emotional sentiment from the heart.

      thank you Nadine May...

      whispers from a flower

      waiting for the sun

      imagination is always waiting

      for you to listen

      glad to touch fingertips

      with you

Wow, so moving and poignant, cleaner3. The pain of letting go and moving on is felt through this poem. Love your style, a real treat on HP. Voted up and interesting.

My pleasure! And I agree, dear heart, if it brings you joy that is all that matters. I have not shared yet as I was called away by hubby to help with the blue star on our home for Christmas. I will share everwhere now! Hugs

Oops, I see you do not have a Pinterest button, but I will shall everywhere else!

Brilliant and poignant poetry from one of my favorite poets. So glad to see you publishing here from time-to-time. You have not lost your magic touch with words, and never will, as you are a true poet ...as I always have known.

Up ++++ tweeting, pinning, G+ and sharing

      Peace and hugs
